NPCs

Non-Player Characters (NPCs) can be a variety of different things and can do an assortment of different jobs. Some of the most common NPCs that you will see and use are used in building, production and mining, though these are not the only types of NPCs that are used by Tresario Star Kingdom. There are 3 types of NPCs, Tutorial, Military, and Civil.

In this section you will learn how to add NPCs to your party so that they can be moved. However there are a few things to mention before instructing you an how to do it.

You can only have 12 NPCs in your party at a time. So if you need to move 36 NPCs then you will need to utilize the party system.

The NPCs that are in your party will follow you everywhere you go provided the available passenger capacity of the ship/vehicle/facility/station that you are entering will allow it. For example – you have 12 NPCs in your party that means that in order for them to follow you into something there has to be room for 13, you plus 12 NPCs. Let’s say you are going to enter a YT-1760 which has a passenger capacity of 8. Assuming there are no passengers onboard. When you board the ship only 7 of the 12 NPCs in your party will board the ship with you. If you are boarding an X-Wing which has a passenger capacity of 1, none of the NPCs in your party will join you.

So now that you understand the rules behind NPCs in your party following you, we will go over how to add and remove NPCs from your party.

First you have to be in the same room, or at the same ground position as the NPCs that you want to add to your party. Once you’re in the same spot click on the party button, as shown in the image below.

Next you need to select which NPCs you want to add to your party. You can do that by clicking the Checkbox next to each NPC that you wish to add to your party. Remember though you can only have 12 NPCs in your party including droids. Next scroll down the the bottom of the screen and in the drop down menu select Add to Party then click Process.

The screen should refresh and the top should show the NPCs now added to your party like the below image.

In order to remove NPCs from your party you have to start the same way you did to add them. Click on the Party button below.

Next you need to select which NPCs you want to remove from your party. You can do that by clicking the Checkbox next to each NPC that you wish to remove from your party. Next scroll down the the bottom of the screen and in the drop down menu select Kick from Party then click Process.

The screen should refresh and the top should show the NPCs now removed from your party like the below image.

Finally lets go over a very new feature that can come in real handy when on massive NPC collection and transport missions. Say you want to move a bunch of NPCs from your ship to a station in orbit or onto another ship for mass transport. There is now a Board Entity Feature that allows you to select and move up to 100 NPCs from one entity to another with just a few clicks.

Now first you need to select the NPCs you want to move, but remember you can only select 100 at a time! So as you can see below I have selected 4. Next scroll down to the drop down menu and select Command; Board Entity and click process.

The screen will refresh to show the available locations or entities that you are able to have the NPCs board, select the appropriate one and click Perform Command. Above the list of entities it will also show the number of NPCs you are selected so you can be sure you have done the appropriate number.

If you have filled the available passenger capacity of the vehicle/ship/facility/station then you will not be able to board it. You can however kick a random NPC (as well as PC's given there are some on board) off the vehicle/ship/facility/station, allowing you to board it.

Congratulations you have just commanded your NPCs to board another entity.
